'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely think about extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's primary focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the upcoming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring performance continues to amaze
