During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water supplies, according to local authorities.
At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.
Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.
"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a public message.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.
A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.
Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.
Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were injured.
The assaults succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the area, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.
All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.
Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.
He said technical personnel and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
