'It's like they never miss a pass': Swansea's Galbraith continues clash with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith breaks into a smile as he remembers the thrilling dying seconds of Swansea's stunning fightback win against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. That match wrapped up with Galbraith briefly donning a fan's glasses following the on-field celebration.

With the clock ticking into the 97th minute, Galbraith cracked the upright with a speculative effort from outside the box, and Cameron Burgess quickly hammered in the deflection before sprinting toward the home end to revel in the moment, with the crowd swarming the players.

Extraordinary Turnaround

The victory sealed an incredible recovery given the team had trailed 2-0 during the final 45 minutes. Amid the euphoria, there was some unintended consequences. The midfielder recalled, "There was a supporter trying to get our attention and we were wondering: 'What's he on about here?' Then we noticed the glasses. It was a light-hearted moment putting them on. We are on the pitch as players but we're individuals, too, so to have a joke with the fans is always good."

Premier League Giants

The result booked a next round game at home against the Premier League champions on Wednesday, a club Galbraith ran close at the comparable phase of the FA Cup with his former club in February. Galbraith had an excellent perspective when his former team took the lead in remarkable manner, with a teammate's long-range effort from about 45 yards going in via the crossbar and the opposition keeper. Many argued that it was recorded as an own goal.

"You would have expected they would've given it to him for taking the effort on from that range," stated Galbraith, who played in the middle before moving to right defensive wing after Orient changed tactics. That meant getting to grips with Jack Grealish, with whom he exchanged jerseys, and the attacker was among the City players who praised the way his former team approached the match.

Guardiola's System

"Athletically they are exceptional but even the fundamentals and simple things, they can just do it over and over again," Galbraith says. "It appears that they complete every delivery and they understand how to manage and take the sting out of a game. You can feel you're all right and then abruptly they will just deliver a through ball past your midfield without you even noticing. You have to be focused at all times of the game. It requires a resilient mindset and concentration just to keep pace."

Welsh Transition

The club were keen on Galbraith in January and secured his signature to secure him in the summer in a seven-figure transfer. He made a name as a fans' favourite across two seasons at Orient and has rapidly done the same in Wales. At Orient he linked up again with his former manager, who previously gave Galbraith his first extended run in professional games on loan at his loan club from Old Trafford. Then came a loan at fourth-tier Salford City, before he departed his boyhood club.

Learning Curve

"I was perhaps a bit naive going into professional soccer. I think a lot of players would say youth team games is completely distinct. Sometimes it appears the ball is moved without much intensity. There's not many tackles or duels. Once you start playing men's games you have to adjust fast."

National Team Success

He has demonstrated that maturation for both domestically and internationally, excelling for his national side, who are fighting to qualify for the global tournament next summer via the qualifying rounds and for whom he has been selected in the last several matches, including both legs games against the German national team. The ex-coach, Galbraith's previous international manager, gave him the highest praise, saying he was Northern Ireland's "midfield general" given how he handles the football and his ability to spot a decisive through ball.

Starting Out

This represents a remarkable path for the kid from the neighborhood in the Belfast suburb, just outside the capital, who used to see his parent, the elder Galbraith, also a engine room operator, play for a local club.

Red Devils Debut

Galbraith's sole appearance for the Red Devils came in the away trip in 2019, a European competition trip to the host city, where they played on an synthetic surface and the venue ceiling was sealed owing to the weather of -15C. "This represented a extended travel and it was chilly," he comments, grinning. "The preceding week, several youth players and I worked out jointly, so that assisted our preparation. Just to accompany the senior squad and get a couple of minutes at the end was unbelievable."

Moving On

How hard was it to move on from Old Trafford, the club he signed from his boyhood team aged his mid-teens? "This turned out quite easy, because I got to the stage where I knew I wasn't going to make it at first-team level. I'm very appreciative for the years at the club but it became apparent where I believed I required a fresh start, move to a lower level and play first-team games. Now I'm steadily climbing the ladder."

Life in Swansea

It is the early part of the afternoon at the club's training ground but Galbraith has a commitment at 5pm: a road rules assessment, another step towards getting on the road. Until recently to the local area, the mid-twenties player was a constant rider in Swansea's so-called player transport, a team vehicle driven by club employees, Pete and Howard, which transports players to and from training and matches.

"It's myself the Portuguese player, Ronald, the midfielder – Melker Widell used to be in it but has got his license. It's nice to interact with the guys but I'm aiming to be the following person to drive independently and on the road. His teammate is known for his humor; he's always up to all sorts."

Supporter Connections

While playing for Leyton Orient, Galbraith would mix with followers on public transport after commuting at Brentwood. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
